Body Wraps; The Fad that keeps Growing

Body wraps are a popular weight loss technique, which when added to a diet and exercise plan, can trim a few inches from your body. Body wraps are great ways to help reduce the appearance of cellulite, trim the stomach, buttocks and thighs and conditions and tones the skin. Do-it-yourself body wraps that you can make at home are just as effective as the expensive body wraps that you pay for at a salon, using natural ingredients that you can easily find. Now in no way is this a quick fix but it can help in your progress if done right.

WHAT YOU NEED

Epsom salt ( lavender-scented. Mineral salt works too.)Aloe Vera liquidEssential oils:  juniper, lemon, vetiver, naiouli, Ace Bandages (1-2 bandages per body area)Plastic wrapPlastic squirt bottle

Slim Wrap Solution

*Double this recipe if you plan to wrap your whole body.Boil 3 cups of water in large pot. Remove from heat.Add 1 cup of Epsom salts. (lavender-scented salt.)When salt is dissolved, add ½ cup aloe vera liquid.Add 3 drops each of these detoxifying essential oils:  juniper, lemon, vetiver, naiouli.

Now nothing is a miracle cure for weightloss, but used properly with a solid diet and exercise program will yield results. Many of my clients come to me with all kinds of tactics to slim down or tighten up. My opinion is, if its an all natural option it really cant hurt you to try. If it doesn’t work you spent little or no money and there is no serous health risks. For my last show I wrapped my abs in Preparation H. I was already at 7-8% bodyfat, when I woke up and unwrapped myself I was tighter and more defined then when I went to bed. As many know this is a secret of models and many others to pull water out of the body and tighten the skin. The results only last about 48 hours.

THE RULES

Body wraps will work if you are already losing weight and at a moderate BMI. If you are overweight or not even close to being in shape you can wrap yourself all you want. You’ll smell fantastic and your skin will be baby smooth but don’t expect to wake up a supermodel. Hard work and diet get you fit. All the tricks, wraps….etc will def enhance an already progressing fit body.
